Two Hundred Eighth Entry
Just finished watching the Academy Awards. It was an excellent show. No surprises at all. Watching the show has intrigued me to watch Monster, Lost In Translation and Mystic River. Must watch these. I did not like the song that won from Lord of the Rings.
I am sick. I was kinda hoping that it was just allergies, but it's sticking around like a fungus.
I'm doing laundry right now, but I can only do one load because I ran out of detergent. I probably have enough clean clothing to get through the week.
This weekend was pretty mellow. My dad came down to visit, but I'm sick so it was very anti-climactic. I did go yard sale-ing with Paula on Saturday and I got three boxes full of old National Geographics for $10. They are from the 60's, 70's and 80's. I will enjoy looking through those when I have the time to look through old dusty mags and aggravate my allergies.
Tomorrow I am going to the dentist again. Not looking forward to it.
Next weekend is camping. Really looking forward to it.

My votes were right on for American Idol. Amy and Latoya made it through. I liked watching Leah cry at the end. I always thought of her as a bitch. Hahaha. Cry little Bulgarian girl. Not you Rou.
Tomorrow I have a ton of work to finish at work.
SLO is out for the weekend. Her highness' friends aren't available this weekend. So I am free this weekend. Except for Saturday morning. I'm going yard sale-ing with Paula. It's always fun yard sale-ing with Paula.
Wish me luck tomorrow.

I love being in the middle. I can see over both sides of the fence and perhaps tell one side what's going on on the other side. I should be a mediator.
I forgot to mention in the last blog that I spoke with Dayni last night. I couldn't sleep, so it was good that she called at 11:45. I loved talking with her. And I miss her. Louis' birthday party just wasn't the same without her. I'm taking her camping after she graduates.
I spoke with Amy and Lisa earlier. Both are doing well. Amy was at CSUH procrastinating, and Lisa bought some CD's at Target. Tsk, tsk, both of you.
American Idol was awesome tonight. Latoya got 10 of my votes, and Amy got 2 of my votes. Both Cali. girls! I thought that the nerdy pencil salesman did well also. Many compliments from the judges, even Simon! What a shock!
I am watching 24. I love that show. I am so tired though. I am going to sleep.
Watch for a new blog on March 15th. It's going to shock you!

I went to the dentist today. As it turns out, todays dentist is the real dentist at that office. The other two dentists that worked on me were just filling in for him. Dr. Fishback (today's dentist) is very cool. But, he took one look at my chart and xrays and decided that the other dentists totally fucked up. I left with the impression that he was going to redo all of the work that the other dentists did. Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, FUCK! I hope that isn't the case. I hope I don't have to pay for any of it.
I e-hat dentists.

Two Hundredth Entry
Happy Birthday Blog!! It turned 2 years old on Valentines Day! Another milestone: 200th entry!!!
It has been a while since I wrote...
Last weekend was very fun. I went karaoke twice, surprised Louis at J. Crew with all my buds, ate at least 10 times more food than I did all of last week, spent time with my family and spent lots of time with my Amy.
I was ecstatic to see Amy. I really enjoyed the time I spent with her. I can't wait to see her this weekend.
Work today started off rather depressingly, mostly due to lack of sleep and a task at work that has been hanging over my head for about a month now. I moved the task along and instantly felt relieved. My day got better. I felt a lot better for getting it done. I was hating going to work for the last few weeks because I knew I had to do this.
My day got even better when I began the process of registering for an ADA Conference in Sacramento come April. It's no Las Vegas or Montreal, but it's three days where I get paid for not being at work.
I just found out that Camile and Matt got through on American Idol. I voted for Lisa 10 times! God damn it!
Oh well, it's just a TV show.

One Hundred Ninety-Ninth Entry
Diana DeGarmo made it through to the next round. Voting for her 10 times must have helped.
Work today was very good. I officially got three things completed today. And as soon as I got those done, I got three more things to do.
Completed:
- Centerline realignment and curb and gutter grades on Front Street in Earlimart.
- Curb and Gutter grades in Porterville at the southeast corner of Conner and Tyler
- Curb and Gutter grades on Avenue 95 in Terra Bella (I only got it today too!!)
Yet To Do:
- Design alleys in Richgrove
- Determine whether 0.20 feet of asphalt is enough to overlay the Road 152
- Work on Construction drawings of Phase 1 of the Sidewalk and Landscaping Project in Cutler/Orosi
The yet to do list will no doubt grow tomorrow.
I am so glad tomorrow is Thursday. Then it will be Friday and then I can be at home in San Leandro.
I know it may sound corny and cheesy, but I can't wait to see Amy this weekend. I just want to see her.

Winter is officially over. Today was a very mild day and the weather is just going to get warmer from here on. I hate summer.
Dalila's birthday party yesterday was a great success. She had her hair straightened for the occasion, and it looks just like Beyonce's hair. Wicked. The music was a hit. It was so hard to find clean versions of some of the rap she wanted. But I did it, and she was grateful.
Also yesterday I went to breakfast at Ryan's with Liberalina, a cousin of mine. She is very fun to hang out with. We did lunch today also.
I broke down and finally did laundry today. I am finishing it up right now. Just one more load to go into the dryer. I've already folded everything else. Go me.
I am diggin being off the Atkins. I am eating all kinds of good stuff like cake, chips, french fries, soda. Excellent.
To buy list:
Lint roller.
I can't wait to go to San Leandro next weekend. Valentine's Day/Presidents Day. Most excellent.
I don't want to go to work tomorrow. I have a ton of stuff to do. My office is stuffed with clutter and crap. I did a water change on my fish tank on Friday. The water was nasty. Now it's clear.
I really like the Maroon 5 CD, Songs About Jane, or something. It is a extra-decent CD.
I can't wait to see you, Amy.

With all the rain yesterday and today, this weekend will be a great chance to catch some fresh snow in the mountains. Should be nice. I know I went last weekend, but I would love to go again. The snow will be much softer this weekend. And I wouldn't go to Sequoia Park. Probably just up to Balch Park, maybe Camp Nelson.
Today was one of those tear out your hair days at work. I worked so hard to get two projects done today, and when Phil reviewed them, I got reamed with criticism. Not that I hate criticism, but I have already discussed these projects with Phil and I never got any hint as to whether anything I was doing was wrong. Jesus Christ! What does it take to work with sane people?
Actually, I was thinking today that I work with a great and fun group of people.
Tomorrow I am going to my third bid opening. The project isn't even mine, but I am in charge of the laptop and calculations since the Project Engineer is at home, convalescing after having kidney stone removal surgery last week.
Dalila's birthday party is this weekend. I am working on the music concept and need to have it done by Friday at the latest.

How about Janet's boob?
Patriots won Super Bowl XXXVIII in a stunning rollercoaster of a game. It was just a very emotionally unstable game. I was rooting for the Patriots, and it was touch and go there for a while, but they pulled it out. Awesome game.
Beyonce's rendition of the National Anthem sucked. It's hard to butcher that song(unless you are Roseanne) but she did it.
My weekend was really fun. My brother and Rouja came into town last Thursday. Didn't do much Thursday night. Friday, we bought a ton of food and my brother cooked some sort of soggy stir fry that was really good. We ate and watched Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Each time I watch that movie, I love it even more.
Saturday was snow day. I got up at 6am. We were all to meet at my aunts house at 7:30am. We were late, but we ended up leaving Tulare at about 9pm. August needed to make a stop in downtown Visalia, and Calvin needed to go to Wal Mart to buy chains. We went to Surplus City where I got a ton of snow gear for only $50. Pretty good. They sell all kinds of stuff. I even found the electric guitar I am going to buy. Hahaha.
We start the drive down 198 towards the mountains, and stopped at the Shell station on the corner of 198 and 65. That was the designated place where Calvin would meet up with us. We loaded up on food and water and BS'd for a while. Calvin was taking forever, so August decided to backtrack to the other Shell station on 198 thinking that Calvin may have gotten confused and stopped at that one. Well, while he was gone, Calvin showed up. We called August and he said that he would just go through to the park, since we already knew how to get there.
We took off from the Shell station and got up to the park at about 11:30am. We were informed at the gate that even though my brothers truck has snow tires and 4-wheel drive, we still needed to carry chains. California law, you know. We turned around and went to a general store about a mile away and rented chains. What a hassle!
With the chains on board, we head into the park and follow Calvin(he headed back when he saw that we weren't following). At about 4000 feet, Calvin has to pull over and put his chains on. We stopped too, thinking we would have to put on chains. Nope. The park ranger says that as long as we had 4-wheel drive, we would be OK. WTF!?!
We finally make it to the snow play area and meet up with August. They are ready to go. We gather the intertubes and head for the slopes. I didn't go down on the intertube until the very end when they tied all the intertubes together and we all went down the hill together. That was so much fun!
We got back into Tulare at about 6:30pm and I ordered pizza. Fred and I watched "The Royal Tenenbaums" on some movie channel. It is such a good movie! Fred told me I'd like it, and I did. Very funny.
At 9pm, we met up with August, his girlfriend Toni, Calvin and Paula at Billiard Park and shot pool for four hours. It was a ton of fun. We were totally exhausted though. When we got home, we played Hoopla for a couple of hours and then retired for the night.
Sunday morning we got up and ate the rest of the pizza. We watched TV, and then went to Sonic to eat a late lunch. After lunch, we went to my aunts house to check out the Super Bowl. (Repeat first 7 sentences of blog)
It was a really good weekend. I got to spend a lot of quality time with my brother and his girlfriend. It was a lot of fun.
I think that this will be the first season of American Idol that I will watch completely. I love all the shows they did last week and am looking forward to the elimination rounds. Very funny.
