Eighty-Fourth Entry
I really really want to go to Europe right now.
If you go back and re-read the Eighty-First Entry, my #1 New Years Resolution is to find a mate. I changed it shortly after I wrote that. I will be engaged by the end of the year.
Of course, the other two resolutions will need to happen if I am going to be serious about this one. I need to loose weight because a dead me isn't going to attract any living, breathing, heaving woman. I need to quit smoking because if I can make it stick, I think it would be the single largest confidence booster I've had to date, and in turn help the other two resolutions. And plus, who likes to makeout with an ashtray??
So, since I will be engaged by the end of the year, I need to sow my oats (with protection, of course) and do all the things you can only do when single. Like go to Europe. Imagine how spense it would be to take a wife and 5 kids for a 2 month tour of Italy!
Other news...
Tomorrow I start school. I have two classes tomorrow, Spanish and Cinema. The cinema class is supposed to be really easy all we do is sit there and watch movies(or so I've heard).
Much props to Amy on her 25th birthday!! If this was the 1500's, she would have been married for 10 years and have 5 kids. Kinda makes you happy we live in the 21st century and we live longer than 40 years.
I am going up to the Bay Area this coming weekend to celebrate the greatest man in the history of Civil Rights, Martin Luther King, Jr. Lets give it up for MLK, Jr!!!
Readership check. Only one person responded to my last readership poll...Carolyn. So I suppose it is safe to say that my readership has dwindled to 1. And Carolyn is really only a part time reader, but fortunately, it rounds up to 1. So email me if you read and let me know you read it. I really want to know if I should be keeping up with it as much as I have been recently. It really makes no sense to keep it up if noone reads. So Carolyn, get out the vote! The fate of "The Stories" lies in your hands.
On an interesting note: I am thinking of starting a separate blog detailing the exact goings on of my daily life. Like:
7am, Got to work
8am, Started to pretend to work
9am, Started to actually work
10am, Morning break...etc. etc. etc.
Let me know what you think. I would make it a public thing, but I may one day have an extended session of masturbating that I wouldn't want anyone to know about, but felt needed to be logged. "So that's why you didn't answer the phone!"
I'll be here all week! Good night!!

Eighty-Second Entry
I will not rant about being mostly alone on New Years, because that is my fault. I could have gone over to my aunts house, but didn't. I didn't really feel alone anyway. I watched the TV and started to pack up my belongings.
I got the keys for my new apartment today at lunch. I did not go there though, because I was told that the cleaning crew was still there, but would be done by mid-afternoon. I have to work today anyway, so it worked out. So tonight, probably about 6:15pm, I will walk in my brand new apartment. I have a garage!! I can just smell and see the paint that the inside is going to take. I will be moving this weekend with the help of mom and dad. There really isn't that much to move, really. Probably 4 or 5 truck loads. Not that much. The one problem is that I haven't transferred any of my services yet(electic, gas, phone, and most importantly, cable and internet). But I really don't care because they will get there when they get there.
So, tonight I will start to move the non-essentials like books, clothes, etc. Great fun. I could like camp out there and pretend I'm rich enough to have two houses...one for my family and one for my mistress...
Any ideas on what I should cook for my first meal in my lovely new home? I'm shake n' baked out, so think of something else Jen.
I am thinking of having a house warming party in February. It will probably be mostly family because friends are so far away(side note: my family are becoming my friends!!) So if anyone wants to come on down for a good old fashioned barn raising, let me know! Hopefully I will have electricity, gas, phone and cable by then. :)
I would really like to do another readership census. Please email me when you read this by either trying to remember my email address or by lazily clicking on the link on this page.
And, if I do decide to have a house warming party, I will send out all the proper invitations. I'll see if I can get a grill by then and we can have like hamburgers or something!!! Yumm yumm!

Eighty-First Entry
January 1, 2003
I am a big believer that what you do and how you act on the first day of the year is going to set the tone for the rest of the year.
I had the oddest of odd dreams this morning...but in thinking about it it makes complete sense.
From what I can remember...
I was driving a Mini Cooper type car. I pull up somewhere and I see Katie Couric. She hands me a newborn baby boy. I wasn't too shocked or anything. I guess I must have adopted him or something. He had very light blond hair, and green eyes. He was my son. I never thought I could love anyone as much as I loved him in my dream.
I watched him grow up. Through school, sports practices, etc. I gave him all the advice I could think and raised him as best I could. The dream ended with him being lost in a mall somewhere. He was 17-ish. I found him and took him home.
I woke up.
I have been thinking about this dream all day. I came to the conclusion that I am ready to start a family. I am in a position now where I can afford the responsibility to start one. I know that I have a lot of things I want to do with my life like go back to school, travel a lot but as of right now, I feel I am very ready to give all that up and start a family.
New Years Resolution #1: Look for a woman that can give me all I want. A woman that I can love forever and will be an excellent mother to my children. A woman I can settle down with in a two story farm-style house with a porch that runs the full perimeter of the house.
For some reason, this week I have been having "chick insecurities" (no offense all you chicks) about the way I look. Usually I dont really care that I have giant masses of fat all over my body, but for some reason this week I am just so over it. I need to start working out. I need to get healthy. Eating biscuits and gravy all the time ain't gonna help either, so thats goin out the door.
New Years Resolution #2: Start exercising regularly and become invisible.
This week has also become the week I fell off the wagon. I am now back to smoking a pack a day. I was doing pretty well for a while, but the temptation from watching co-workers smoking proved to be too much. It's not their fault at all. I should have just kept on the bigger patch for longer.
New Years Resolution #3: Quit smoking, once and for all.
So there are my three New Years Resolutions. I think I can for sure accomplish one of them, and the other two kinda go hand in hand, and without one you cant have the other.
A very odd thing non related to New Years....The past two weeks I have received two phone calls from two of my Ex's friends. Both were incoherent and bizzare. I have also been in contact with my Ex twice in that period. Once was a friendly Xmas call where I wished her a Merry Christmas. The other was this weekend when she called me to ask for a book she had "given" me. I was this close to burning the last remaining photos of me and her. Apart from the Xmas call, which I made in an effort to be a friend, why am I getting these drunken phone calls and messages? In an effort to not over-analyze the situation, because of Jen's inferred advice, I tried not to think anything of it. But I can't. Over-Analysis:
My Ex on several occasions thinks about 'us' with pain and malice. And in an effort to make my life miserable, has her friends call me at the worst possible times with incoherent drivel.
But I was advised not to over-analyze things.
I really, really hate Indian givers.
