One Hundred Ninth Entry

I just read Jen's lovely blog about her haircut. Very funny. Sad that it didn't turn out the way she wanted...but that's life...and it'll grow out.

Personal observation:

Why do girls cut their hair short? Is it because it is easier to maintain? Is it because it is lighter on their skull? Is it because they just plain like it better? I don't know why, but I hate to see girls cut their hair.

Mylinh's hair was just growing out to a good length when we started going out, good finger running length(did I say that out loud?), and then she cut it. She had great, black, thick hair and she took good care of it. Why cut it? I can understand why she keeps it short now though(Triathlon). Lisa was next. Long, straight, thick, black hair that you could use as floss. Really pretty hair. She also took good care of her hair. Then she chopped it off. Why??

And now Jen. Again, long, thick but somewhat curly/wavy, dark, dark brown, luscious hair that she took excellent care (quite possibly better care than Louis) of and its all gone. Why???

Perhaps for a man, the long hair evokes the primal instinct to bonk a woman over the head with a club and drag her around by her hair.

Perhaps for a woman, the long hair evokes the primal instinct to avoid being bonked over the head with a club by a man and being dragged around by her hair, but now that technology has evolved to the point where they can see a professional for a haircut, they so choose to do, avoiding the clubbing man.

I guess what it all boils down to is that women with long hair get a rise out of a man, and women with short hair don't.

No offense, Mylinh, Lisa, and Jen. I'm sure you have your reasons for going cut crazy. Just don't ask me how it looks. :)
