Two Hundred Seventy-Fourth Entry

It's been a while.

Last Saturday I watched "Sideways". It is a very very good and funny movie. The sex parts and the violent golf scene are the best. It was fun to watch the movie and be able to say that I used to live in that area. It makes me want to move back there.

Last Tuesday I watched "The Aviator". It is a very very good movie. I was truly impressed with it. Leo "King of the World" DiCaprio did a very very good job as young OCD Howard Hughes. I really felt bad for him as he descended into insanity, and was frustrated when his periods of sanity were ruined by some bizzare trigger that threw him back into OCD-ness.

I really really really want to see "Million Dollar Baby", really want to see "Ray" and am lukewarm about "Finding Neverland" after a poor review from Amy. See a pattern? Yes, they all are nominated for Best Picture of the Year at the Academy Awards. After those, I really really want to see "Hotel Rwanda" and "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind". And then "Kinsey" and "Maria Full of Grace". "Vera Drake", "Closer" and "Being Julia" are not available on DVD or in the theaters. And that covers all the acting categories. I am also intrigued by "The Motorcycle Diaries"...I think it's out on DVD.

I've been flirting with changing my voter registration to Libertarian as of late because that's just what happens when you work for the gov't. And I am "sick...and tired" of my Albertson's union. And I want to pay lower taxes. And I want to stop being the worlds police. And I want people to do what they please with their bodies(drugs, sex, abortions, tattoos, whatever). And I want to bring back the right to privacy, completely. And I want to deregulate handguns. And I want people to marry who they please. And I want to dump some of the environmental regulations. And I want to hear "fuck, asshole, and shit" on TV. I want to have an economy where survival of the fittest rules supreme. I want to let anyone who wants to come in to MY country, come in. I want to remove the government from the lives of Americans. It just makes more sense. Both Democrats and Republicans say that the other side is too controlling of the people, but they are both right. Tree-huggers and Bible-beaters both are pushing their own agendas and trying to dictate how people live their lives. "Save the Whales" and "Choose Life" are identical in the eyes of a Libertarian. The Libertarian slogan should be "Save Me".

Tomorrow promises to be a great day. Full of reading, writing and studying. Enjoy your weekends everyone! Happy Birthday Louish! and Congratulations!!!
