One Hundred Sixty-Fifth Entry
Rouja, I am disappointed in you.
*****
I ironed for the first time by myself today. Yes folks, in all the years I have lived on my own, I have depended on the kindness of others and hanging or folding things up immediately after laundry to keep my clothes wrinkle free. Well, today I decided it would be better for me to watch TV intently rather than do laundry.
Guess what? No more clean un-wrinkled clothes!
I perused my closet for something decent to wear. Nothing. I found a shirt that I really like, but wrinkles very easily, completely wrinkled. So, throwing caution to the wind (and a fire extinguisher nearby) I started on my ironing journey.
I love the steam button on my iron. I didn't have any water in it when I ironed, but later on I filled it up and played with it. Very cool. the sound it makes is very Star Wars. "Luke...I am your father."
My shirt is wrinkle-free and ready to go for tomorrow (it took me about half-an-hour). Unless it falls off of its hanger in the closet. Then I'm screwed.
I'm thinking of throwing a party to commemorate this occasion.
Thanks Amy!
