One Hundred Ninety-Second Entry

Oh my God. I am definitely going to see the Super Furry Animals next month. I bought two of their CD's today, "Rings Around the World" and "Phantom Power". My God, I thought Travis was mellow. Some of their songs are like smoking all kinds of pot without OD'ing. Amazing. Some of the songs are much more upbeat, almost danceable. A very good balance of the two. Anyone interested? It promises to be a night of contact highs and great music. I will put some clips on my website soon.

My day off has been very uneventful so far. I got up at 10am. Watched the end of Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Amy was right, I really liked that movie. After the movie, I took a shower and watched a little TV.

Then I drove to Best Buy to see if they had the SFA albums I was looking for. Nope. But Borders did. I also got "The Communist Manifesto" by Karl Marx. I was feeling hungry, so I went to BT's and got an All Meat Burrito. Soooo good.

I came home and watched some more TV, called home, made an appt. for my truck service this Saturday. 45,000 miles...wow. Bullet deserves it. Actually, by the time I get to San Leandro this Friday it will be pushing 45,600. 600 miles overdue. Oops.

Then I busted the SFA CD's in my stereo and am listening to them now. I am also reading my new book by Mr. Marx. No, I am not becoming a communist or socialist, just curious. I guess, at heart, I have always been somewhat of a socialist. Maybe that is why I am curious about Marx's theories. More about that later though, I can hear the fake snoring noises.

Hopefully later on today I can go do something, if anyone is around.

Ooh, scary song.
